Sundays fixture against Mersham, despite being early into the season, has developed into a must win game for both teams. Both teams have just 1 point from their opening 3 games coming from the reverse fixture just 2 weeks ago. Troggs face holders Market next week in an almost write off fixture and so will be desperate to get a win on the board. Tony Carty is set to offer the Troggs a defensive lifeline after finally accepting the call to replace Stocker at the back. The management duo of Stocks and Gibbs are on international duty for 3 weeks so the caretaker partnership of Dyke and Newman steps in to run match day affairs while Stocker will still be selecting the team.
