With Smarden in dire need of a goal and with Newman and Dyke reduced to hammering efforts past dec in the kids nets, up step unlikely hero Tony Carty. 30 yards from goal with the ball bouncing in front of him carty smashed a volley off his shin looping and swerving over the despairing hunton keeper.
