A remarkable turn around from the goons after last weeks 12 0 drubbing spirits were still high . Knowing that Dyke and Potter were in the squad lifted the whole team with real belief, we started the match well with only 10 men with Pearce, Dyke and Pearl, running the game from midfield, chances came but they wasnt taken , Loppy turned up giving us 11 men to battle with, Pearce moved up top and Potter slipped into midfield, it took an embarrissing mistake by Scottie to produce the games first goal, an easy backpass totally missed by the keeper ,Troggs 1 down,
The football continued to flow Pearce and Butch linked well Pippas pace to much to handle, there keeper made saves chances went begging Pearce the biggest culprit missing 3 to 4 good opportunities, he soon made up for these with a great flick passed the keeper for Potter to open th Res scoring, 1 - 1
Second half much the same as the first Troggs dominating but failing to find away past the keeper, it took move of the match to eventually get in front, Dyke again winning the ball in midfield before finding Pippa who played a 1 - 2 with Pearce , Pippa raced into the box he squared the ball back to Potter who in turn smashed it home 2 - 1 Troggs.
With legs tiring Quest had a couple of chances to score but Scottie redemed himself with good stops, iy would of been hard on all if three points had ot of been won, the game was sealed in the 80th min when Loppy sprayed a 60 yard ball to Pearces feet wide on the left, who skipped back inside the full back and almost placed the ball on Emile"Butch"Heskeys head for the goal he deserved.

go on the goons! Was a good game we played pretty well and deserved the win. Was good to play 90 mins as well! though bit painful today!
Good match report marcus i presuming you didn't read it back through?! Althought my favourite part has to be your spelling of Andy 'Pepper' Underdown, either you're saying it in a south african accent or you think he's a young horse riding toff girl!
