This is the official follow tommy carlton on his mammoth bike ride thread! He is after your donations and comments so post them on here and i'll send them on. This is what tom had to say after day 1/2
Quote:
"Day 1/2. Easy Start on first day - stayed 20 miles south of calais. 70 miles today has got us to Abbeville. So far so good. Hot but not unbearable. that could change soon I suspect. Everyone looks at us as though we are mad. Knees a bit sore but will have to get used to it. Any of the Troggs inspirational quotes welcome!"
The route so far:

Day 3 Update from Tomo:
Quote:
Day 3. 71 Miles to Gisors. Dodge fell off bike and cut lef up a bit. Very hot but better on bike than off it funnily enough. Staying in a bit of a dive a place. Getting a fair bit of interest from people on route. Dont know what the hell they are saying but it sounds supportive. Hope to get to destination in time to watch some of murrays semi final tomorrow

Day 5/6/7. Three long days - 89, 76 and 82 miles. Up to 486 total now. Very hilly today and will be tomorrow. Everyone in pretty good shape though. Laurence recovered from dodgy knee. In place called treignac tonight. 4 more days until we hit spain. I'm sure my fellow troggs players have now donated on-line. Maybe boss stocks should get them all out on their bikes as part of pre season?

Just east of Girona with about 100 left to Barcelona. Should arrive early monday. Very hot and hilly! In the race to cross the Spanish border it was the old legs of the more experienced rider that took the chequered flag! Very hot and hilly.

Well done tommy and the lads. _________________ Troggs Stats (Since 05/06):
