Cupid Stunts top goalscorer and general nice guy, Paul Newman, has today pledged his future to the club in a statement. It read; "I am pleased to announce I have put pen to paper on a new one year deal for the Cupid's. I want the side to test itself next year in Div 1, when we are pomoted, as I feel we can mount a genuine challenge for the league" A club spokesman said "After Newman's recent form, we've had alot of enquiries from Div 1 clubs (not true) and we a delighted to secure his services for another year"

Cupids Stunts Owner-Chairman-Player-Manager George Dyke expressed his delight at Newman signing a contract extension for the Stunts. Dyke Said: "Newman looks back to his best and last night showed his abilities. He seems to have got that 1 yard of pace back and is striking the ball properly for the first time in months." Dyke was also questioned over the takeover bid which is attracting a lot of media attention. Dyke admitted: "The club is looking to move forward and we are in talks with potential suitors. We do not want erase the clubs history but if the deal is right, we could consider a name change to 'gqpoker.co.uk FC' next season."

Last nights game also saw the return of outcast former player Tom 'Hank' Dyke, who put in a solid performance and didn't even get booked.
