DAVE-JA-VOUS - LAW MAN OUT FOR 7 WEEKS AGAIN!Injury Prone Goal Machine Dave Law rocked the Smarden boat yesterday when he confirmed he is unlikely to play again this side of Christmas. The Law man was out for around 6 weeks in the middle of last season with the same ankle injury which he picked up after a horror tackle whilst playing for Bethersden during their 2-1 defeat to Market on Sunday, which shockingly only saw the market midfielder receive a yellow.The infamous Law Man scream echoed across the weald and some of his top supporters heard the call as far away as the jubilee field, high halden. The news will please the Smarden fans who have seen top scorer Law net two hatricks in the league already this season on his way to 7 goals. A lot will now rest on Matt Dykes shoulders as the only recognised striker in the squad but it does open the possibility of the Dyke brothers up top or perhaps open the door wide enough for Richard moon to slot in a few goals. Directors of football George Dyke and Paul Newman are also rumoured to be looking at a swoop for a pair of as yet unnamed strikers. |
