Smarden Face Eccles this Saturday and new signing Micheal Hodges could make his full debut in front of the expectant home crowd.
Hodges, a 4 pint and 2 sambucas club record signing from County leagers Kennington, came off the bench in the last smarden match and many are expecting that Arch saw that enough day to hand him his first start in the smarden green.
The new signing was brought in to try and stop the glut of goals that have been flying into the den net this season. It can be seen as a signalling of intent from the club bringing in a player from a higher division and showing the current squad that gaffa Tim Archer is not afraid to make changes if things aren't going his way.
Smarden Lost 5-2 away to Eccles in a scrappy game at the start of the season, which featured a bruce dyer wondergoal...into his own net. With Hodges in the team this time around and the upturn in form recently enjoyed by the smardeners, Arch will be looking for 3 more points and to extend the run to three wins on the bounce at cornes meadow.
Chunk's back!!!
