League News and Fixtures AND NEW WEBSITE!!!!Smarden open their new Premier Season on Saturday away to newly promoted local rivals AFC Biddenden. Biddendens website is: http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/afcbiddenden/, you can check the squad on their, looks like a mix of the headcorn and brews players. should be a good opening test, pretty physical i reckon!Smarden seem far from ready for the new season with Arch away until saturday morning, Moon and Bruce missing the first two weekends, Law and Hodge gone, Dyke Snr still out injured and Charlie Potter the only summer signing it could well be a tough start to the season. The following week the Den travel to Eccles before facing Leeds at home in the Cup, Yalding away in the cup and Shepway away in the League. The league was 12 teams but Wateringbury Village have dropped out, despite winning Division 1 last term, only losing 2 games... strange. The league, and also fixtures are on the ALL NEW www.smardenfc.co.uk p.s. still a little bit under construction so any obvious gaffs or things not working then let me know. |
