Moongate Saga | Quote: | | its about £4.50 for a pint of beer in Sweden - which is OK for the likes of lightweight Dykey n lightweight Adamson |
This quote, published yesterday in the Daily Trogg, was recorded by a reporter overhearing Rich Mooney whilst he was at a restaurant dining with boyfriend Bruce 'chopper' Dyer.
Dyke is reported to be fuming and it appears the already tense relationship is boiling over. Dyke has challenged Mooney to a drinking contest "anytime, anywhere" and also pointed out that Mooney hasn't had a beer after football for 3 weeks. Dyke did however concede that he could not defend co-accused team-mate Adamson.

Troggs gaylineMoon has released his second statement of the week through agent Spankus Frank.
Moon stipulated that contract talks, that could have kept him at the club until 2009, had stalled in the face of rumours regarding his sexuality and drinking prowess. Assistant manager, George Dyke, was central to the criticism, with Moon describing him as 'unprofessional'. In the tirade that followed Moon referred to Dyke as 'a 2-bit prick with all the strategic footballing nouse of a doormouse'. Moon went on to say that if he and Dyke were to have a drink-off some arrangement would have to be to even up proceedings - such as two Moon pints to every one of Dyke pint. This can be taken as some sort of swipe at the two men's goal bet for the 2005/6 season that requires Moon to score twice as many goals as his midfield counterpart.
Of Adamson, Moon stated 'I respect him as a man and a footballer, but putting more than two/three pints of beer in front of the man on any given evening is simply asking for trouble!'

MoongateTroggs skipper, Ben Gibbs, whose relationship with contract rebel Moon can best be described as tenuous after season long taunts about the strikers goal ratio, has released this statement on the feud:
"....Never trust anyone who refers to themselves in the third person....Thank you"

Given that the statement was released through super-agent, Spancus Frank, the information was simply being relayed by a third party and not actually Moon referring to himself in the third person. Gibbo get back to school.

The fact that you referred to yourself in the third person before stating that a separate party was involved is really neither here nor there. The irony of my response, by referring to myself in the third person moments before, as Dyke also has been, seems to be lost on you...
...and yes Mooney, every day is a school day...

Newman Calls for End to Feud
troggs fc player/manager paul 'chunk' newman has, today, called for an end to the ongoing rift between assistant manager george dyke and forwards ben gibbs and nana moon. in a statement released this morning, chunk, as the manager is better known
(from the 80's smash hit film the goonies) blasted "if the boys cant settle this banter by themselves then they will be keeping eachother company on the bench!"
Newman added "i am currently looking to bring a new forward in, in the january transfer window. to do so the chairman has said we need to offload atleast one player to bring the wage bill down".Speculation is that the gifted but tempremental nana moon could be on his way out due to the recent tension, however moon's exit would also mean the the departure of his left back gay lover bruce "can you do a job at left back?" dyer.
It looks asthough there are some tough decisions ahead for tough man newman.

DYKE THE BIGGER MANAfter hearing his managers words George Dyke has handed in a formal apology to Paul Newman. It is thought he wishes to end the feud and although there was no evidence of Dyke apologising to Moon himself, Newman was reported to have said "clearly Dyke is the bigger man here".
Dyke was seen leaving the clubs training ground today with Boss Paul Newman and distanced himself from the Moongate saga by only commenting on the potential arrival of former Manchester United Captain Roy Keane. Dyke said "I would love to be playing in the middle with Keane, although it may force certain other midfielders to the bench"
