Shadoxhurst 7 Roffey 3The goons were a little outclassed and overrun against the division 3 league leaders on sunday. The shadoxhurst side would trouble the first team and despite the inclusion of roffey, Dyke brothers and hollingsby brothers the goons could do little to stop them.
A brave performance defensively with some champagne saves from scotty spaldo and some heroic defending from lance at the back as well as a well taken hat trick from roffey who like dyke snr came through a much needed 90 minutes a week before the 1st team clash with arch rivals Bliby.
The goons should not be too down heartened as this was a good side who would seriously test the first team and there is a long way to go this season and points to be had. Plus the chilli and chips down the chequers after was a right treat. 
The game was also marred by the sensational resignation of Troggs fans favourite and arguably the reserves best player this season -Dogman who has quit the club after his brother (who has made 1 sub appearance this year) was not selected for the shadoxhurst game due to first teamers taking places. Dogman spat his dummy out at Tim Archers selection policy and has left the club along with striker Nathan Mojod.
