Smarden book place in semi with 2-0 winIt took Smarden until 65minutes and the introduction of Dyke Snr to break the deadlock against Eccles reserves, Dave Law racing down the left wing to round the stranded keeper and cross for Dyke to slot home. Shortly after law set tony carty, 30 yards out, and presumably turned back presuming the ball was going out of play, not this time! Carty let rip and with the help of a slight deflection off the eccles defenders head, found the top corner and the adulation of fans.Smarden played out the 2-0 and booked their spot in the Semi against woodstock park (TBA) |

CUP SEMI NEWS.... woodstock have it on their fixture list as away to us on 11/04/09. Then the final would be bank holiday monday again at Lydd.
