Smarden hit Saxon for Six!!Smarden breezed past the saxon 6-0 in the cup, in their first win of the season. The den looked good for their 6 goals although against a less than impressive saxon side. The enigmatic Dave Law hit 4 as he opened his account for the season in style. Ben gibbs also notched with the pick of the bunch from stuey batt, a mazy run down the left wing beating 4 players before slotting past the despairing keeper. A solid defensive performance at the back from the quartet of dyer, lops, carty and gibbs, with chunk pulling the strings in the middle and Moon, Batt, Eels, Law and Dyke Jnr carving out the chances on goal.
With Arch Absent due to work issues, Troggs gaffa Stocka stepped in and had swapped eels into the center with batt going wide on 30 minutes to immediate effect.
Dyke came on to rest Newman and Ryan stepped in at left back for Dyer who was clearly sporting a beard related injury.
Smarden will hope to carry this form into the league next week with their first home fixture.
