Smarden sign Burt!Smarden have pulled off the scalp of the summer with an eleventh hour signing of former Charlton forward Paul Burt. Burt, who last season played a handful of fixtures for Hamstreet, has been tempted away on a goal bonus deal. Many fans will see Burt as an ideal replacement for departed striker Dave Law, who was seen in the stands yesterday. With talk of Adam Roffey close to signing a deal Smarden fans will be relieved to have a front line.
