THE TROGGS SIXES THREADThe Troggs Sixes saw off the challenge of Hexagon thanks to a solitairy goal from Paul Newman on tuesday night.
Troggs lined up with unlikely saturday keeper candidate Stocker in nets, Josh Newman and Loppy at the back, Newman Snr and Gibbo in midfield and Matt Dyke up top.
Troggs took the lead in the first half when Josh Newman found his brother in space who cooly slotted between the keepers legs.
Solid defending from lops, a couple of champagne saves from stocker and a great work rate from gibbs made up for the lack of organisation and marking, but that will develop in the coming weeks and the Troggs held on to 1-0, a clean sheet and a first victory, hopefully of many.

If anyone else wants to play on tuesday nights kick offs between 6.15 and 8.15, let me know on here.

Troggs sixes lined up as planned but things quickly fell apart with the new formation and line up, a slip up at the back allowing their striker in to break the deadlock and stocks angrily conceeded his first goal.
Despite mistakes, the Troggs always looked the classier side and won back in when the energetic ben gibbs played Matt Dyke in, who cooly slotted home. Shortly after, under seemingly no pressure, the opposition defender stood in his box- penalty to the troggs. Roffey stepped up, sent the keeper the wrong way and hammered into the net. 2-1.
In a contrasting situation at the other end, Gibbs was forced into the area by the new boys strikers and the ref decided to even up the penalty shouts. Up step Super Hands Stocker who makes the goal look small and succesfully kept out the spot kick.
Another break away from gibbs with a neat cut back to roffey and the troggs in 3-1 at half time.
The second half saw more mistakes creep back in, the defending a bit shambolic and stocker beaten, 3-2, and making hard work of it. Matt Dyke then restored the lead with a neat finish and Roffey captured the points and the match ball with a rifled effort from distance. Stalwart defending from chunk throughout ensured it wasn't close and 5-2 it finished.

Troggs 6 - M.O.K FC 0The Troggs sixes looked to have found their form last week as they despatched M.O.K. FC 6-0. Stocker was whispering sweet nothings to his bernie so couldn't make i and gibbo deputised well in goal, keeping the sixes SECOND clean sheet in three games. It wasn't as plain sailing as the score suggeste, a couple of early scares produced some champagne saves from Gibbo, but it was Adam Roffey who found his finishing boots and put on 4 goals for the ever increasing weekly crowd, as rumour spreads about something special brewing over on pitch 2. Matt Dyke bagged a brace including a delightful volley after roffey tempted him with a lofted ball which Dyke Jnr let drop over his shoulder onto his right peg and sent it into the bottom corner. Lops and bruce commanded at the back and chunk, eager to improve his fitness, put the work rate in and pulled the strings in the middle.
Goals: Roffey 4, Dyke Jnr 2
Assists: Roff 2, Matt 2, Bruce, Chunk
Stocks is set to return this week as the sixes face smooth criminals who have drawn 2 and lost 1 in their opening 3 games. (http://www.footballmundial.com/tables.asp?area=790&2=7)

Troggs Sixes Slump to DefeatTroggs sixes, who looked to be plain sailing in the Championship, got a wake up call on tuesday night. With Gibbo out injured, Stocks slotted back into goal with the outfield remaining unchanged- lops and brucer at the back, chunk in the middle and matt and roff up top. Playing a side that had drawn 2 and lost out of their first three obviously led the sixes to believe this would be a walk in the park and for the first ten minutes they didn't turn up and got punished by a well worked goal struck home well by the smooth criminals front man.
The sixes did wake up in the end and tried to play their way back into the game but despite having far the greater number of chances on goal, some woeful finishing meant that they couldn't force their way back into the game and eventually conceeded the inevitable second whilst commiting everyone forward.
The Troggs simply weren't good enough and many are now questioning the managers choice to play 2 out and out strikers every week, with some calling for a 1 up top and 4 behind the ball tactic employed so well by premiership leader E.I.S. The Troggs went on to play a freindly agaisnt a prem side and came out nil winners in a much better, albeit, pointless, display.
Dyke is expected to utilise his squad next week with the anticipated inclusion of one of the keen players out of Carty, Adamson or Hollingsbee.
Troggs still sit top but others have games in hands. Next week is champions league week with the Troggs facing fellow championship rivals The Crew

2 defeats in a row for the sixes as major changes weren't the answer in their cup match against the crew.
With Loppy (big black bum) Stocker (girlfriend duty) Bruce (Poland-duty) and Matt Dyke present but Struggling, Dyke Snr named an unfamiliar line up with Gibbs in net, Gilbert and Hollingsbee making their debuts at the back, Newman and Roffey doing the running and Andy Adamson looking to get the goals up top.
An energetic 'the crew' side ran the Troggs ragged in the first ten and if it wasn't for the awesome Gibbs in net they could have been several down at the break although to give the Troggs some credit they had almost as many chances to test the opposition keeper.
The introduction of 'surely he must be injured' Matt Dyke at the break for Roffey did little to help matters and the Troggs were eventually undone when Hollingsbee was judged to have fouled on the edge of the box and the Troggs made the school boy error of not standing on the ball as Gibbs was helpless to stop the quickly taken free kick from being slotted home.
Some heavy pressure came from the Troggs with Roff back on for the tiring Gilbert but they couldn't find a way through and 1-0 it ended.
Not a great performance but we all have a beer after and we'll only get better and fitter for the experience so ethusiasm should not be lost.
Ben Gibbs was awarded an MOM for goalie heroics but he would have liked to pass it on to debutant Lee Gilbert for some stalwart defending.

The sixes finally found winning form again with a win over Bar Ultra. Stocks went back in nets, Bruce and Lops at the back with Matt and Chunk doing the running and Roff trying to get the goals.
Some good play and pressure in the first half and when the Bar ultra keeper ran out of his area, they thought they had a pen, but apparently the rules are that if he keeps the ball in the area, its ok...?!
The second half saw the introduction and long awaited return of Dyke snr, on for his brother and made an instant impact, perhaps not directly by kicking the ball for the first time in 14 weeks since breaking his arm, but seemed to inspire the others as Chunk twice found Roff with clever flicks and the hot and cold striker this week smashed home emphatically on both occasions.
Bar ultra found a way back through after Dan Charmin wasn't closed down and struck home well, although stocks did look dissapointed he didn't get anything on it. They held on and 2-1 it finished- the Troggs back to winning ways.

Troggs sixes produced arguably their best performance of the season with a convincing 4-0 win over UCFC. Dyke was dealt a blow to his plans when Gibbo and Stocker pulled out late doors due to work commitments so Matt the Cat deputised in goal. Bruce and Lops looked assured at the back, Dyke Snr and Chunk ran the middle and Roffey terrorised their defence. Chunk picked up an MOM for bagging a brace and laying on a goal each for Roffey and the returning G. Dyke. It could have been many more but the sixes overcomplicated things and despite Loppy and bruce pushing on desperate for a goal the Troggs couldn't put anything away as Darryl (off the goons) made some great stops in the UCFC net. Troggs stay top of the table with 5 wins from 6. http://www.footballmundial.com/tables.asp?area=790&2=7

The sixes got their first cup points with an eventually convincing win over new boys in cup group B. Arch went in goal with lops and bruce at the back, dyke and chunk in the middle and roff up top. It was a less than convincing first half and it took till half time and the introduction of Andy Adamson, on for Roffey to change the game. Dyke latched on to a back pass and slotted home the first, Adamson repeated the feat before it started to click for the troggs and they ran out 5-1 winners, dyke and adamson with one more each and roffey back on for dyke completed the rout. A good break from them caught arch out for the consellation.

The Troggs extended their run of league wins to 4 with a victory over inter ya nan. Dyke named an unchanged team but it didn't go according to plan, a mix up between Dyke and Dyer at the back allowed their striker in to beat Arch. Lops came off at half time for Adamson with Dyke dropping back and the change did the trick, Adamson worked well with Newman and scored one and set up Chunk for the other. A great come back kept the Troggs top but next week they face second placed The Crew, who they lost to 2-0 in the cup, in a fixture billed as an early title decider.

Sixes back to winning waysTroggs sixes recovered well from their 4-2 defeat to league leaders The Crew a fortnight ago. The sixes faced a cup tie against SBE from the division above, albeit holding up the division above with just 7 points. Troggs did have 9 players at the start of the day but Stocker and Gibbo dropped out with work commitments and Dyer rested his dodgy ankle so a debut was handed to potential Troggs signing Harry (newmans cousin).
Unlikely goal hero Pete Naden opened the scoring finally notching his first goal for the sixes. Impressive debutant Harry finished well after a neat 1-2 with dyke and the Troggs looked to be plain sailing. The div1 side did press on occasion but the sixes defended well and arch made a couple of good saves to keep a clean sheet. Roffey got 2 in the second half the goal of the match when he fired in an unstoppable drive into the bottom corner from a distance out for Troggs fourth.
line up: Arch, Loppy, Newman, Harry, Dyke, Roff.
Goals: Roff 2, Harry, Lops,
Assists: Dyke, Newman, Harry, Roff
