Troggs Back on Track for promotion with 2-0 winTroggs put their promotion bid back on track with a hard fought 2-0 win over Red Heathens at Charing Heath on Sunday.
On a massive pitch with thick long grass it was alway going to be a tough game especially following the hard work put in to saturdays 3-1 come back over Aylesford.
Troggs settled into the pace early and for once put themselves ahead and in control of the game within 15minutes. Dyke with what has become a rare goal this season after pearce layed him off on the edge of the area and he rasped home.
Moon, having scored probably the goal of the season on the saturday before, then looked to equal it with a delicate lob from the edge of the box, nestling in the top right corner and putting the Troggs firmly in control.
The Troggs looked to extend their lead but were frustrated by some decent Red Heathens defending.
The second half saw the Troggs under the kosh and if it weren't for some stalwart defending from Carty and his men and top stops as always from Aaron Brown then it could have been a different story.
Matt Dyke came off the bench and looked lively and perhaps could have had a hat trick, hitting the bar and narrowly missing two one on ones.
2-0 was a safe victory though and leaves the Troggs 1 point ahead of Bocca with a game in hand.
With Bocca only having one fixture left the troggs need just 1 win from the last 3 against Bliby, Mersham and Hamstreet to finish ahead of Bocca safely in the second promotion spot.
