Now then chaps, I didn't see this post till now, so didn't have a chance to post my team. not afraid to so will! My point before is that we may have been caught out dropping the holiday-ers on last sunday (they also may not have made any difference!) I don't envy steveo or carty and i wouldn't want to pick the team every week, probably cos i'm wet. your always gonna get differing views from your players and fans but at the end of the day its down to you!
sat i would have tried to get logga back in the side as he's not only quality but our only left back, carty played steady there the week before but he's not a left back. I think I would have moved carts into the middle and left out roffey, so moon up top, stu batt right wing. possibly, not sure!
anyway, what steveo mourinho did was forced on him but he got it right again! we played well enough to win it and were unlucky. getting to the point ... I think i like wingbacks:
GK Kitney (sorry Deano...)
LWB log
CB lops
CB Stocks
CB Pearl
RWB Gibbo
CM Carty
CM Dyke
CM Moon
ST Maggot
ST Pearce.
So I just dropped: Adam Oliver, Stu Batt, Roffey,
Actually not sure about gibbo's tracking so more defensively would pick adam at RWB, dropping ben... er sorry? equally could put stu there on last couple of weeks performace, and i'd be a mug to drop ben the way he's playing. this isn't going well.
Depending on who we're playing, who's about and the fact that i think gibbo is better up top than wing back, my 4-4-2 would be
GK Kitney*
RB Adam Oliver
CB Lops
CB Stocker
LB Log
RM Moon
CM Carty
CM Dyke
LM Adamson
CF Marcus
CF Gibbo
So now i've dropped Pearl! well harsh, he's been quality all season. You could put him in the middle instead of me (thats a political comment, no one would really believe i'd choose to drop myself, i love football) And not picked stu-ey batt in either side despite him being very useful last 2 weeks.
Theres a few positions that are really tough as we have players of a similar level, take CM, me, carty, pearl, all have something similar to offer, if you bring bruce back into that then 2/4 would rightly feel aggreived every week! Discounting moon who's better than all 4, but ship him out wide or up top cos he's wet. Or if you take CB where Stocker, Loppy, Pearl, Oliver and Carty have all had good games, thats a tough call who's the best 2or3! form wise for me, stocks and lops in a 2, pearl for the third and keep carty in the middle cos i like him there, he's horrid.
Yeah you're right, picking sides is hard, think i'll leave it to steveo and carty. if you've got this far in my horribly long /waffly/ boring post well done. deano read on.
*I am only winding you up deano, theres only one number 1 in this side!!

thinking about it, its lucky people do go on holiday and have injuries, miss games for whatever as we have good strength in depth which is very hard to use when we play in a small league. guess at the end of the day you have to pick on form. _________________

Yep, I think we all agree its easier to let steveo pick the team and stand by him, he's getting it right!! was only naming my team cos deano was suggesting i was too wet to do it
stuey batt is good, but then someone like oliver or gibbo misses out and they've been playing well, this is why its tough!!
And no steveo no suggestions, wasn't being smart, just letting you know! I actually think someone needs to gamble on dyke* up top one day
actually can we practice the 2 lines of 4 tactics that andy gray pointed out boro were employing in the first half. wonder if we've got that in us?!
*matt dyke quips welcome _________________

Also think that we should encourage mooney and adamson to swop sides every so often, like giggs and ronaldo do. I think sats and suns we have to look at playing to the strengths of our best players, which I think everyone knows is those two faggots. At the moment best plan seems to be keep them wide, just gotta make sure we give them the ball! _________________

I agree with the two faggots being our best players, but the Moon is wasted out on the right!! He goes missing from there throughout the game looking to create and get the ball at his feet. Circa. Egerton last Sunday.. He needs to be playing in the middle of the park or preferably behind the front two.. But that means that Dyke or Carty miss out (who have both been playing exceptionally well in there) or we change our system to wing backs to accomodate all 3. Then Brianaldo gets dropped..... oh fuck it...... I can't pick a team either.....Personally I think we should all just give it a rest and let the Managers, who we have chosen, do their jobs and pick whoever they think will be best on that day, for whatever reasons. Lets get on with it both days and win trophies!! The Saturday team spirit from the last couple weeks is a massive plus point and If we can continue that against the "big teams" and string some results together then we will fly up that league and may not be too far from promotion. We still have so much to play for on both days and could end up with some nice shiney medals come the end of the season!!! Lets just get on with it lads and give those Addington / Boca / Malgo boys a fucking game to remember!!!
Also agree with Log tho... Stu Batt is quilty!! Need to poach him from those pikeys from Rolvenden! Saturdays and Sundays!!

good points gibbo i was only naming a team cos no one would. of course its down to the gaffa and we all stand by him!
fair point about moon, better in middle, better in free role. Arguably adamson's better in midfield in a 4-4-2. ohhhh the choices. _________________
