Troggs have sensationally joined the race to sign recently released Charlton Athletic youth player, Paul Burt. The highly rated forward, now a free agent, is said to have secretly trained with the first team last night at the clubs Tenterden training complex. It is thought the lure of school boy 'mate' Josh Newman, will prove enough for Burt and he is believed to be putting pen to paper at some point in the next week.
When quizzed on Burt, Troggs manager Paul Newman said 'I have always been a huge fan of Burts and would obviously love to sign him, but i'm afraid he may be a little out of our league'
Burt's agent released a statement this morning saying 'No comment'

Everybody loves a player who's actually on champ manager!!

Bit concerned that he's severely lacking in match fitness....what would that say about chunk?!

an those who came back to the flyer claiming 'he wasn't that good' your all liars he skipped passed us all! and that was him on a 4...just u wait till he pulls out an 8or9.

Go to www.cafc.co.uk. then go to players then click youth academy, then go to select player and click pau burt and read Charltons Profile of him!!!!

he was ok, me butch a simon was chating about him all the pro's seem to have so much time on the ball and he was very unsteady, but i agree he is a powerful player and got fast feet, would be cool to see him in 11 a side
