Smarden overcame County leaguers Woodstock park 2-1 on Saturday to reach the final of the Weald of Kent Cup.
The villagers took the lead through Andy Adamson only for woodstock to find an eqauliser after some neat play. Richard Moon restored the lead with a tame but well placed free kick past the unsighted Woodstock keeper.
Woodstock had a player sent off after raising his hands to firmly slap Dyke in the face and the remaining 10 men couldn't break down Smarden.
It was a case of hanging on and heroics all over the pitch as the Smarden players gave sweat and blood to secure a cup final for the 50+ faithfull that turned out to watch the semi.
The Cup Final will take place on bank holiday monday in May at Lydd as Smarden look to round off a good season
