Smarden marched on to the semi finals of the Paul Butcher Challenge Cup with a 3-1 victory over Hunton.
New signing Michael Hodges opened the scoring with his first goal for the club on his first start. Stuey Batt whipped in a delicious cross from the left and hodges, darting in from right wing back glanced a header passed the Hunton keeper.
Hunton clawed one back but the second half saw the introduction of super sub George Dyke who smashed in from a goal mouth scramble to make it 2-1 and then had a part in the best move of the match, releasing moon who neatly crossed for Matt Dyke to slot home the winner.
Smarden move into the semis where they will be joined in the draw by cobdown, who beat Ditton 4-0, Shepway who eased passed leeds 5-2 and the winner of Blue Eagles vs waterinbury.
