Maclaren Keen on a bit of Dyke Action!

Steve Maclaren one of the front runners for the vacant post at the F.A has been in advanced stages with Brian Barwick about the possibility of a four year deal.

Talks seemed to be going well until Maclaren keen on promoting english coaching talent wants troggs George Dyke as his right hand man!(not that sort of right hand man moony)

In a week when betting revelations have come to the fore, Barwick wouldn't be keen on maclaren recruiting the gaming entrepreneur from Kent. Barwick was reported to have said that the appointment would be like 'letting the fox in with the chickens'.

Mclaren an admirer of the troggs No.2 hit back and said "that there are great english coaches further down the english football league structure even in Ashford sunday league division two, and Dykes football brain should not be under-estimated despite his other business interests.

Troggs Manager Paul Newman is reported to be angered by the speculation.

DYKE TO STICK WITH PAL NEWMAN

George Dyke Quashed the rumours linking him with the England Number 2 vacancy stating: "Although the interest from the FA is flattering, I am here with Troggs and thats where I'm staying. As long as Paul Newman is in charge I aim to be right behind him."

Dyke is also at the center of an alleged betting scandal and is said to owe a figure of around £2.60 to team mate Deane Burden. Dyke refused to comment on this matter.

Troggs Fc player/manager Paul Newman has stepped in to dispell any rumours that his No.2, George Dyke is set to leave the minnis. Newman roared 'Me and George go way back and we have very big pans for THIS club. He's going absolutely no where and that is final'. Dyke is yet to release a statement although his stand will probably echo that of his close friend and manager.
In other news, striker Ben Gibbs has released a statement apologising nfor his recent timekeeping and has pledged his support to the club and the promotion push. Player/manager Newman said 'I'm pleased Ben can be big enough to admit his fault and we can now put it behind us and move forward'
